Eccentric, but not only. Daphne Diana Joan Suzannah Guinness, known as Daphne Guinness, heiress, the daughter of the emperor of beer Jonathan Guinness, is a versatile and unconventional person.
She loves art in each: from music to literature, from cinema to fashion. She has collected fashion for years, especially haute couture.
In 2010 she has bought the entire wardrobe of Isabella Blow, she said to “prevent Issie’s possessions becoming mere morbid memorabilia… to preserve it.”
She was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1994 and she’s been the first to wear the famous Armadillo shoes by Alexander McQueen, one of her dearest friends, whereof she said: “He silenced those who thought that fashion is not art. He was an artist.”
